Chakli

As part of the image making module, I was tasked with creating a one page infographic for a recipe of my choice. I chose Chakli or murukku, a Maharashtrian Diwali snack.

The Story

As a child I always found the process itself intriguing and the craft of making perfectly spiral crisp chaklis. To convey the 'Quick and Easiness' of Chaklis I took a minimal, vector approach with rounded shapes. You will notice that the color palette is muted, in an attempt to focus the simple nature of the process, I kept vibrant colors and real, hand drawn images away from my mind and made it all clean and vector.
