Petista: Streamlining Mobile Pet Grooming Services for Petcare Providers

As a designer, I work independently to enhance the user experience for mobile pet care service providers in the US. My responsibilities include conducting market research, collaborating with stakeholders, and making design decisions that align with the company's goals.

Client

Petista, a renowned name in the American mobile pet grooming industry, serves as a one-stop destination for all pet care needs. By offering pet grooming services at customers’ doorsteps, Petista contributes to cleaner and happier pets. It is a mobile and web-based application designed specifically for pet groomers to manage their grooming appointments, which serves as both a point-of-sale system and a repository for all their work.

Design Brief

To improve overall groomer experince of Petista by making the onboarding process intuitive, quick and easy, making the application enagaging than static(current version) to improve user retension and to expand on new features.

After research and interviews, a deeper understanding of the design problem and the possible solution was discovered

  • Empowering Groomers Through Insightful Design: Extensive research revealed the target users—sassy, independent women in the grooming profession—needed a platform to streamline appointments and act as a reliable companion, addressing challenges like using phones with wet hands while working from vans.

  • Enhancing User Experience with Creative Solutions: By employing creative storytelling and focusing on eliminating clutter, refining icons, and ensuring brand consistency, the application bridged gaps in user satisfaction and usability.

  • Sustainability Through a Comprehensive Style Guide: The project concluded with a detailed style guide, ensuring design uniformity and sustainability for all future endeavors at Petista.
